Hi,

now that the German Win2003se downgrade is available, I tried to put that on my X50v. However, I now have the same problem I had during the upgrade: The upgrade utility does not continue after the hard reset of the X50v. By pressing enter I get to a page where the 'Next' button is disabled, and all I can do is 'Cancel'. During the upgrade the fix was to uninstall ActiveSync 4.1 and use 3.8 instead. However, it seems I can not use ActiveSync 3.8 now that the x50v is on WM5.

Is there any way to connect the WM5 pda with a PC using ActiveSync 3.8? Or is there any other workaround to run the downgrade utility?

Do you have bluetooth turned on and error reporting turned off?

Hi,

ok, it worked now. After the problem occured on two of my workplace machines, I tried it on my home PC, and the downgrade succeeded. So it was probably some TCPIP/FireWall/Antivirus issue. Anyway, the good old days of Win2003se are back for me ;-)
