Question A simple close running program on "X" program?

I'm looking for a simple program that will actually close my programs when I press the "x" button on my screen.

I have my x51v all set up the way I want it, but none of the programs I am using have this feature.

Anyone know of one that isnt tied to a bunch of other stuff?

Thanks again guys!

I use handyswitcher by dinar. $4.99 at handango.
Lakeridger WisBar is great too -- unfortunately their current app is not yet WM5-compatible. That's a tad more expensive at $9.99.

Solid little app. Has some bugs, but nothing worth not using it for IMHO.

Uh, Wisbar Advance 2 is quite compatible, although it costs a bit more... and it does add a 'task bar' at the top, which is quite useful. Otherwise, for free 'close' functionality, I'd recommend keeping an eye on MagicButton as well.

I paid for Valksoft Ture Toolbar with my X5. It easily shuts my programs off, and is WM5 compatible (per email I received from support).

The current version of MagicButton has a taskbar, as well as a battery meter. Another vote for MB from me.

I had some problems with the animated battery meter and WM5, which is why I didn't mention it (just about every piece of software with WM5, at least until the last month or two has had problems with battery drains related to that). It's a good free program, though, and it's TINY at like 45K.

Ok.. I've been using Magic Button for a couple days now, but Im having some issues.

1.) For some reason Magic Button will simply disappear and I have to double click on the Magic Button program icon to get it back. (just noticed it disappeared after I installed a program via activesynch)

2.) I have the battery status box checked but dont see the meter anywhere on my display.

3.) The actual magic button icon does not appear on my desktop at the top right of the screen. Its there when I open a program, but with just the desktop showing I just see a grey square.

I have used Spb Pocket Plus and MagicButton. Both worked for me. I am currently using MagicButton. It has some configuation options that can be accessed by tap/holding on the house icon. There is a screen print of those options in this thread.

I'm very happy with MB performance in WM5. It doesn't seem to have most of the bugs I got in WM2003, such as the Programs window not closing. My only (minor) gripe is that the close button becomes the old-style X instead of the new gradient button in WM5, but that just shows that there is really nothing else to complain about!

I hate being contradicted when I'm right. When you visit Lakeridge's site it very clearly states: "Windows Mobile 5.0 users: WisBar Advance is currently in public beta testing. Please see our forums at http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/forum for more details."

I've tried several of the beta versions and it slowed my system down too much and was otherwise a bit unstable. Once they release the final WM5 version I may try it again.
