problem installing program

I installed SciCalc 2.2.5B on one Axim X51v and everything was fine. Another person installed the same thing and there was nothing unusual about the installation process, however no icon for the program was found in the programs, nor the program's files in the program files directory?
When you try to reinstall it just tells you that its installed?

Any ideas?

Assuming it really is installed on the second Axim, you can look at the shortcut on yours to find out the name of the executable (I don't think the default file explorer has the capability but Total Commander and Resco do). Then locate the program on the second PPC and place a shortcut to it in the Windows/Start Menu/Programs folder.

If the program folder isn't there, it seems like the program isn't really installed. If the program is listed in the Remove programs, I would see if it will allow you to remove it. Then do a soft reset, resync to the PC and try reinstalling.

I suppose you could do a registry edit to fix the problem but that would be somewhat risky if you don't know what to change. If it's really important to have the program, a hard reset might be your best option. It will mean reinstalling all the other programs that have been added since getting the Axim.

I installed an earlier version of the program and it worked...I'm thinking it was something with the current release? I dunno? Wierd!
