You don't - you install Wisbar Advance Desktop, install a theme that uses it, and then that theme's virtual desktop replaces your today panel. There's no setting to turn on the softkeys in that case - the whole panel's replaced by the desktop.

Ah so the reason I have it now with my current theme is because it was built into the theme. If I don't want it then I need a theme without the bar. Great thanks.

No, no, no. You're not understanding me: Wisbar Advance Desktop, as per the website (if you've read it at lakeridgesoftware.com) completely wipes out the Today page and replaces it with a virtual desktop. You have to be running Wisbar Advance 2 or Wisbar Lite to run Wisbar Advance Desktop - and when you install it, you have to have a WAD theme installed as well (and one comes with WAD), which will completely replace your Today Panel with a viritual desktop with a few objects. In the case of the Default Theme, you have a Battery Meter, RAM meter, Storage Meter, and the Date, plus a link to Pocket Internet Explorer.

With the Desktop active, there are no softkeys, no System Tray, no Today plugins - while you can add Today Plugins to a Virtual Desktop, the System Tray and softkeys are gone. The softkeys are an integral part of Windows Mobile 5, as they were trying to unify the codebases between this and Smartphone, and in doing so added the Softkeys to EVERYTHING. You cannot get rid of the softkeys - you can hide them, as Desktop does, or you can change their color as WBA2 or Dashboard can do.

If you want to get rid of them by removing them from the Today view, you can't do that - you can only completely replace the Today page with the Wisbar Advance Desktop. Changing themes will NOT fix the softkey issue - you have to install Desktop and whatever themes you install for Desktop will show whatever you want... but they won't show the softkeys.

Well I have a wierd problem trying to get the colors to match the themes. I have Wisbar Advanced 2, and have applied lots of themes (skins) and changed the today theme (windows themes)

Nothing works. All I notice is the color between the buttons change, yet making an ugly glitch type. The buttons stay the same. It is messing with my overall gleam of the themes and skins i'm installing.

Sad Sad day. I don't even use those buttons. You have links to Contacts and the Calendar everywhere as it is... why as buttons too?

We'll figure it out one day. I know it. Hopefully sooner then later.

As I said - the Wisbar Advance 2 program doesn't remove them. Newer versions skin the buttons, but they're not removed. If you want to hide the softkeys on the Today screen, install the Wisbar Advance Desktop plugin which you can get from that site. I'm currently using the Antimatter skin from the Lakeridge Software forums, and the softkeys match the rest of the theme perfectly, using the default settings.

I found a free little applet that let's you reassign the soft keys on the MoDaCo forum:

http://www.modaco.com/You_re_Gonna_L...s-t235546.html

In the drop-downs for the key assignments some apps get listed twice, but other than that it works.
