I have my messaging program set up so I can check my gmail account. It is able to send and receive email but why does it get rid of emails. Like if i have checked the email i want it to remain in my inbox until i delete it. sometimes i dont even get a chance to check the email and if it checks for email again, that one will go away. How do i make it leave the emails in the inbox, or what program do i get to do this. I want more of an Outlook feel where i can refer to old emails. Also, sometimes email is not coming to my device. I will see the email in my inbox via IE but the messaging program doesnt download it. I am doing this on my PPC 6700 not an Axim

What i do is move all of my messages to a new folder. They wont get deleted in the folder and you can still get new messages. Trust me that works. Or you may want to try third party.

what kind of third party were you thinking of? sprint business connection is installed on my phone now but I don't know anything about it.

the only problem I have with moving them to another folder is I have it check every 15 mins so sometimes a mesg comes in and then it rechecks before I can even move them and thus they go away.

Try a google search. I know there are lots of discussions about how gmail doesn't quite work with POutlook/pop. I gave up and just forward my gmail to a standard email account...so I haven't been following the posts very closely.
