Missing eWallet 4.1 "Compress" Feature [Axim X51]
I noticed that eWallet 4.1's "compress database" (Tools > Compress) feature is gone when I installed in my less-than-a-week-old Axim X51 (WM5). It was there when I was still using iPAQ h4150 (WM2003) last week. Now my eWallet database is getting bigger and bigger and I can't compress it. Anyone has this issue and found any solution?

Since the help only talks about the PC compact option, I would assume that this has been removed from the PPC version. I sent them a support email for confirmation.

The PPC version have the "compact wallet" option cos I used it before in my previous iPAQ h4150 (WM2003). It is missing in WM5 (Axim X51), installed using the same eWallet 4.1 .cab file

It wasn't removed from v4.1 cos it's still there when I'm still using it on my iPAQ h4150 (WM2003) last week

Version 4.1 WM5...when installed on the PPC, it knows what version of Windows you are running and could display different menu options accordingly. The PC app wouldn't know which version pda you are going to use, so perhaps this option is always there for the PC app. Other than that guess I have no answer...I will be sure to post if Ilium responds to me email.

Here is their response...
Thank you for contacting Ilium Software. eWallet automatically compacts
the data. That is why the option was removed.

You're right. I guess eWallet hides the "Compact Wallet" menu if installed in WM5 cos the "Tools" menu is not even there

Haha... Sorry being a bit funny but I was laughing when I saw "eWallet automatically compacts the data". And as of today (almost a week after I installed eWallet 4.1), the database is still the same bloated size (used to be half the size when I used the "compact wallet" feature in WM2003). eWallet did not automatically compact the database. Anyway, thanks for contacting Ilium Software on this issue :approve:

If you're finding it is not (my file isn't big enough to worry about yet), perhaps you should open a support ticket with them. :)
