Keep GPRS Connection Alive?
I have a x51v bonded to a motorola v600 with Cingular service, and the GPRS connection works fine over bluetooth with the following exception...
Every so often the connection dies and it has to dial out again. This is annoying and I was wondering if theres any way to keep the connection alive. I have the settings on the phone set to unlimited timeout, so I dunno whats goin on here Would there be software to help fix this, or is it perhaps a settings problem? Suggestions are appreciated thanks Sean

If you use your phone GPRS standalone, does it stay online indefinitely? (Just wondering could it be simply your GPRS server: my GPRS has been patchy at times for that reason.)

I cant connect to the internet on my phone at all. That part really doesnt make sense to me, seeing as how I can connect to it fine on the axim through the phone. When I open the web browser on phone, it loads and then says "connecting" but the bar stops 1/4 of the way through and an error comes up that says "Connection unsuccessful, try again later." I flashed/flexed my phone to a new Cingular pack, but I dont see how that is causing this problem. I double checked the settings on a post at howardforums that had the Cingular GPRS settings listed, and mine are identical. Maybe it just doesnt work because I technically signed up for ATT and got pushed over to Cingular when they merged. Sean

My provider sent me the phone GPRS settings by media message. The message asked did I want to install, and when I pressed yes, the settings were up and running. Maybe call Cingular and ask them to do this?
