Wisbar Ad2 running slow on X51V

I just installed Wisbar Advance2 (2.5.0.1) on my Axim X51v and noticed a great slowdown in performance. I can easily tell when I stopped running the software. Can someone give me tips on how to speed it up? It is a great application.

FYI: I did search the Lakeridge forums and the suggestions I have found did not do much improvement at all.

Installed:
SBSH PocketBreeze
SBSH ContactBreeze
SBSH PocketWeather
SBSH iLauncher

Have you turned on the 'Cache Start Menu Icons' option? Do you have the battery meters running at the same time? How do you have it configured, at the moment? What theme are you using, and do you have the Desktop plugin running at the same time? Is ActiveSync active in the background?

I've yet to see a lot of the slowdown problems people have mentioned with it, although I also would suggest (if you have WBA2 registered) that you give Wisbar Lite a try, since it'll give you the same task management options with a lower memory footprint, due to the removal of the skinning engine.

Thanks Haesslich for replying.

I do have the "Cache program icons on startup" turned on. The only battery meter that I have running is in the upper right-hand corner of the screen next to the WA2 menu. Most of the configurations are default from installation. Is there anything else that I need to configure?

I am using the Expea2 Theme and have the ActiveSync turned off via the "hack". Is the Lite version just the same? Does the removal of the skinning engine not allow me to use a theme?

I've turned off the battery meters, and don't see problems with speed. Have you tried the Antimatter theme from the Skins forum there? Do you have Wisbar Advance Desktop running?

Also, the Lite version uses the same software, but no skinning - you can't use themes, but it provides most of the other task management features, and uses the same registration code. I didn't have any speed problems, running WBA2 off Main Memory while the themes were in the SD card, but I don't know what you've got set up there, or what programs you have on the Today screen.

Otherwise, I'd suggest asking on the WBA2 forum on the Lakeridge Software site.
