Question Reproducable Windows Media Player Crash

I have a reproducable error for Windows Media Player for the Dell Axim X51V.

1. Play a wmv movie.
2. Skip to the middle of the movie.
3. Immediatly choose the full screen icon.

It locks up and it needs a soft reset to continue. I just started using my Axim and I have a couple questions:

A. Since the OS is in the ROM, does Microsoft do updates or patches to Windows Mobile 5?
B. Is there a patch available for Windows Media player?
C. What other players are available that I can use instead of Media Player?
Thanks,
Greg Finzer

Patches to your x51v are initiated by Microsoft then sent to Dell to "customize" for your Axim, then released. In other words all updates are on the Dell site

As far as players TCPMP is the way to go, it supports many types that WMP does not.

Thanks for the reply. I looked on their support site. www.support.dell.com/pda to find updates. There are no updates there, even for the X3 which has been out for ages. What is a good URL at Dell to download updates please?

Dell's website is messed up, there should be an A06 update for the x51v and I can't seem to get to it. Maybe I'll try theuir FTP site

Try this URL for A06

Cool A06 Build 12190500

I am running A06 Build 12190500. It looks like I am running a build that is a higher version than what is available for download. Looks like I'll have to wait for a fix. Thanks for your help. I am going to try out some other media players.
Thanks,
