heya folks.
I've run into a bit of bother. I tried to present some formulas to an audience by inserting a M$ equation onto a power point slide, and displaying them via my X51/VGA cable to a projector. problem is that the brackets of the formula come out as garbage. It was suggested to me that the PDA lacks a font that is required to display the formulas correctly..... Does anyone have any experience with this? ![]()

I've had a similar experience. I had Asian characters in a PPT presentation that came out as boxes when using VGA out. My solution was to install CE star, which added Asian text support.
See if you can find the fonts that display your equations and copy them into your Windows \Fonts folder. You can also copy them to a different directory using the utility Fonts On Storage (if WM5 compatible).

Is the font the only problem, if it is thats easy to solve. Connect ur ppc to activesync. Go to c:/windows/fonts on your pc and find the font you need. Copy it to the clipboard. Go to /windows/fonts on your axim. using the explore button on activesync. Paste the font. If it doesnt work try agian. This will solve the font problem.

Twas symbol.ttf that I needed for symbols AND the times new roman font files times*.ttf. Microsoft Equation Editor 3.0 in MS office 2003 defaults to two fonts times new roman and symbol. Without the times new roman font files, the letters in the equation overlap the symbols.
