Since getting my X51v, and based upon research here and elsewhere, I have been very hesitant to load software that has not been WM5 "certified".

Have any of you loaded non WM5 software and actually had no problems because of it?

Yes mainly games,im kind of hesitant about utilitys.Games either work or dont and are easy to uninstall.

Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.

vxUtil, vxFtp, ceCommander, phmRegedit, lgtEditor, PocketTV.

Have not run into any problem yet otherwise they'll be removed/uninstall.

Tried a few non-WM5 certified program and it works. The worst is that it will not run, menu not work properly or the GUI looks distorted - especially those accesses/uses the WM5 internal databases (Calendar, Contacts, Tasks)

David's Online Thoughts

Most of the programs I have run work so far, including Monopoly, iMov, Agile messenger, but not aim 2.0, because the soft bar covers up the menubar, so I can't type my username or password. Agile works well though. Oh, and Opera works great too.

After trying WM5 3 times this time around things work great with WM5.
I have a x50v, applied upgrade hacks & tweaks and loaded Pocketplus 3.1
and Pocket diary. For some reason this time around i am loving it. Snappy response and few problems. SPBs update to pocket plus must help. Also I did all the tweaks this time. I like several thing inWM5 but WM5SE would be nice DELL Good luck if you try WM5 again yourself.
