ssh help
My wifes work is looking into a portable device that has ssh support. I really don't know too much about this except that is is some security encription program/service.
What are the options for WM5 device? Are there better options than my x51v like the UTstarcom6700? I know they are very different devices but i'm trying to keep this search broad. Are there better security options other than ssh? Andy

I have not used this, but read review on it and it looks quite nice for SSH on Windows Mobile 5 and most other flavors of WM = called mToken:
http://www.choung.net/mToken/ As for whether there's something better than SSH, kinda depends on what you're looking / needing to do. HTH

pocket putty is probably the application that you're looking for. you can google for it, though I think that it is only in beta release at the moment.
fyi. ssh is a secure encrypted version of the telnet protocol. basically it encrypts all the terminal text between your desktop and the server you're connected to. very secure. Though with my limited experience using my axim as a terminal with bt keyboard, there is simply not enough screen space for text without the convenience of a window.

oh, yeah. and you can forget about using ncurses based apps (pine etc...).
[correction: my bad. pine does work. it is just a bit.... dense]
