SMS manager working with BT under WM5 ?

Does anyone know an application for managing SMS which is compatible with WM5 and working through BT ?

I've tested 6 or 7 solutions, but they are not WM5 compliant, so even if they run on an X51, there are either limitations or bugs. Or they are fine, but using Irda only.

Even a phonebook manager or call dialer application could be fine, as far as I can manage SMS.

Has someone been successful in using Instant SMS of V-Mobile ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have found that there are two basic problems:
1. No required BT port available in SMS program selection.
-this could be resolved by registry editing – tested on simpleSMS, Instant SMS Sender, Indovisi Sms

2. Program is not capable to access phonebook.
-this IMHO could not be walked around.

Finally I got two working solutions:

Instant SMS Sender – only sends SMS, does not handle incoming ones
-need to edit COM port in the registry - do not remember path

Indovisi Sms
- works great, handles both incoming and outgoing SMS – similar to Outlook for emails
- recognizes phonebook
- registry modification needed under:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Indovisi\Indosms\Setti ng]
"Connection"="COM8:"
-once you go to the settings in Indovisi Sms, you need to repeat this modification again.

I had a problem with registration, the developer did not send me a reg. key.
Fortunately Handango refunded me... You might have better luck.

I was searching a soluction for that too, there are lots of apps, BUT they don't work on wm5... :(
I did a roll back to wm2003se and they worked just fine... I think there's no solution for syncing your phone with your axim on wm5 YET because of the M$ BT stack...
There's an update for the bt, but I still didn't tried yet with a phonesync app...
I'll try and post the results, but I bet it will not work :(
