Bottom line in today screen
:) Hello, maybe I am going to say a nonsense, but I'll ask;)
Ok, everybody see the bottom line in the PDA's screen, where software buttons, as well as keyboard button are. For me, these buttons are useless , so I would like to get rid of them and have bigger space in screen. Oh, I forgot to mention keyboard button. It could be transfered to the top, for example, near the clock;) :rolling:
Maybe anyone knows if it is possible...
Thanks for time, spent while reading my post;)

Many users think like you, and so your problem has been addressed. Head over to www.lakeridgesoftware.com and check out the Wisbar Advance Desktop (WAD) forums. Lots of screen shots can be found.
WAD is a Wisbar Advance 2 plug-in i.e. it requires it. But both cost less than $20 together, and are must-have software in my opinion.

Thanks for info;) I have just downloaded them. Tomorow I'll do some digging, as theu are a bit complicated :)
As I have found out, it doesn't remove the bottom line - it just puts sth on it. I wanted to have it completely removed, for example, when PIE is loaded there should be seen only Start bar and PIE window... nothing else;)

They work fine together but some people are reporting a few problems with ContactBreeze and WAD. Usually fixed by setting ContactBreeze to load "Static" under PocketBreeze tab settings.

One note - you can't kill SoftKeys from WM5, since it's a part of the OS. You can remove/hide it on the Today Panel with WAD, but that's it. Personally, I find myself using the softkeys a lot, since it means I don't always have to pull out the stylus when I want to interact with the menus in the programs.

Well, but i am used to press, for example OK button on the top;) When I remember, that there is one in the bottom, then press it, but, despite this, they are pretty useless for me...

Make sure you've set the buttons up so a hardware key is assigned to each Softkey - by default, they're left unassigned. Since I don't use the dedicated buttons anyways, I usually assign them to the softkeys. If you want to bind the "close/OK" button to a hardware key, I suggest going with Wisbar Advance or Wisbar Lite... which will let you do that.

I found a very simple way to change the soft keys, not get rid of them!
A small applet you can get from below thread will do it:

I like the softkeys at the bottom now that I can have them point to what I want.

This links to the main page instead of the thread you had in mind.
