Being new to Pocket PC / Windows Mobile operating system but an old hand at PC-based Windows I have a question: does Windows Mobile get weekly updates like PC-based Windows does through the Windows Update process?

If not, how are updates handled.

Nope; updates are handled by system roms from Dell for all of the Axims

I dobut Office Mobile in WM5 will ever be updated. If there are updates to Microsoft PPC software (MSN Messenger had an update once a few years ago, but I'm not sure if that was before or after it was bundled with Windows Mobile), they will be listed in the Downloads area on Microsoft's web site (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...ocketpc.mspx/). However, that is extremely rare.
