When I made the switch from PPC2003 to WM05, my pocket PC became almost unusable as a contacts manager. The problem is that I have about 5,000 listings in my database, and WM05 can take up to 20 seconds to match a contact with search text I enter. (PPC2003 seemed to make a match almost instantaneously.)

I believe that PPC2003 searched for contacts by trying to match search text to the "file as" field, whereas WM05 looks in multiple fields.

Has anyone else noticed this problem?

Does anyone have any solutions (alternate software or settings)?
