Hardreset won't roll back to factory situation

Hi,

I tried hardreset several times on my X51v. the system won't go back to the factory initialization.

There are some software configation files and register keys remain.

I use the data backup program, the same thing happens.

Is it a bug?

So how to get a clean system?

I had the same thing happen to my X50, I had to send it in for a replacement. Have you call Dell Tech support yet?

not trying to be a wise guy but .. I've seen some people who did only a soft reset & thought that's what a hard reset is ... so I figured I should ask ... just to cover the basis before you send it back :)

for the X51V ... hard reset involves:

hold down the "power" button for a few seconds ... continue holding it while you push the "reset" hole located at the back of the unit ...

:)

Surely i did hard reset. Soft reset won't remove installed software.
