bad memory

not bad memory on the axim, . . . i mean in me

when i set a background picture, it looks washed out

i kinda remember seeing a setting, to set how faded the background image is.

but do you think i can find it again?

if ya know let me know please :-P

ummm if your talking about setting up your background and taking off the fade effect yea go find the picture and open the picture up and you should have a option to change how much of fade you get on the background.

If you're talking about the Today screen and using a picture as the background, there's no way to make it less washed-out unless you use a picture that was created as a theme right? At least that's what I've read.....if you check the box to 'Use this picture as the background', the picture will be faded/washed-out on the Today screen.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong because I can't see any option to change how faded the picture gets.

to get the fade control goto Start -> Programs -> Pics and Vids
select the picture you want (it full sizes)
choose menu -> set as today background...

that will open the transparency level... 0 is no transparency

(Not quite sure why the option isnt launched when you select it from start -> settings -> today *shrugs* )

Ahh, thanks, good to know for future. I've discovered that certain themes will cause the alternating light and dark blue lines I described in another thread....so this is good to know.
