Notification softkey - how to dismiss/remove

I'm not sure when it appeared, but my Today screen has the Notification softkey in place of the usual Calendar softkey. It probably appeared when I dismissed a task.

Problem is, the Notification softkey won't go away - pressing it does nothing, and all my Tasks have been updated/dismissed. A soft reset will bring the Calendar softkey back briefly, but then the Notification softkey soon replaces it.

How to get rid of it?

Usually you press it, then it changes to two different options.

I had the same problem, and it started when I removed my calender from my Today screen. As soon as I added it back, the Calendar soft key returned. I'm guessing it has something to do with which application you have on top in your Today items. So if your Calendar is showing, but your Tasks are above it, move them around. Hope this helps.

Are you running iLauncher or another program that displays an icon in the top bar? These programs use the system's notification feature to display the icon in the top bar. As long as the icon is displayed, you will get the annoying notification covering your left softkey in WM5.

Ah, yes. That would have done it on my part as well. I dropped the meter from the title bar, sice the rainbow one is enough, and that's about the time it went away. Thanx, rbq08.
