Question Device Security Utility

My X51v will be here shortly and I've been "pre"shopping apps, tools and utilities.

Because of the open office environment (shared cubicle) and my CEO's annoying habit of picking up any handheld device that is laying about, I need a good (stable) security utility to keep prying eyes off my Axim. I'm also in and out of my cubicle for varying periods of time...so locking people out is a priority for me

Does anyone use PocketSecure 3.0v to lock down their X51v? Your opinion and feedback is appreciated, thank you.

I used to run some extra security programs on my Palm PDA (e.g.: PDA Defense; briefly tried SureWave Mobile Defense; never could get PDA Secure to work right; tried out TealLock, too), but on the PPC PDA I'm just using the standard lockout. I set it for Prompt if device unused for zero minutes and got in the habit of always pressing the power button when I was done using it so that it locks immediately and taking the PDA with me when I left.

If I were looking for one for the PPC, this list would be a starting point.

Thanks

Thanks for your feedback and welcome, and yes, I wish I had bigger pockets in my Dockers and suit pants

Received the X51v earlier this week but was too busy at the office to setup. Not going out of town till tomorrow, so I'm fiddling with the setup today. So far so good - and that sticky regarding the AutoSync/fake Exchange Server trick was the first thing I did with my device.

Thanks again.

Carhart makes some dungeress (sp?) that have a great right-hand pocket along the thigh that is a perfect fit for the Axim in a case.

For what its worth, I have been using Pocket Secure for a few months. In the past I have used Nice Start and the default security. Pocket Secure works much better! I have had zero issues with this software.

Nope, unless you get an addon. I did see a signature based one though.

just use the built in password protection and set it to enable after whatever amount of time you wish. or just enable the password screen everytime you walk away from your pda.
