I am having problems with the security feature on my pda.
I have tweaked the registry \HKLM\ControlPanel\AdminPassword and changed the "Redirect" to "xRedirect"
Did a soft reboot and the option is there under system.
I enable the policy, but can still install .cab files, recieve programs via beaming.
Am I doing something wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why did you have to edit the registry? You can use a program name Cabinstall to install these files type wherever you want.

Frenchy, I think sanoy is talking about something else. There's no need for Cabinstl under WM5 since it will automatically ask you where you want to install programs.

What I am trying to do is prevent the install of programs on mobile 5 by enabling the security policy. But after I enable the policy and acitvate it, I am still able to install software. Which according to the policy I should not be able to install software via active sync, beaming, outlook, or sd card.
