Hello, I have a Dell X51v PDA and I made a backup (*.dbk) of all my data and then stored the backup file on my desktop computer. This was done several months ago. I have since then added several new programs. One of my data files got corrupted and I would like to restore it from my backup *.dbk file. Is it posible to restore only one file from the backup? Is there a utility out there that I can run on my desktop to decompress the *.dbk file and then copy the file of interest back onto my PDA? Thank You

I'm pretty sure you can't selectively restore specific files with the built-in Backup program. You can with the Sprite and Spb backup programs though.
If you're desperate, make a backup of your current system. Restore from the previous one and copy the file you want to a safe place. Restore from your latest backup, then copy back that file.

i think solara's idea is the best way to get that file.
the backup utility is not very changeable, my advice (From lots of lost data experience) is to backup about once a month, and after adding any new programs. cheers -Trab
