Green Blinking Light
This started happening about two weeks ago and I can't figure out why...
After doing a soft reset, the green light on my x51v starts blinking. The only way I can get it to stop is either to sync with my PC or to pop the battery cover off forcing a warning to show up, and when I hit OK, the blinking stops.
I've gone to the Sounds & Notifications and made sure that the Flash Light For box is unchecked for each type of event. But still, whenever I do a soft reset, the green light starts flashing again.
Can anyone tell me what's going on and how stop it from happening? The blinking is driving me crazy!

Some programs will blink the power light. Perhaps one of those is the culprit.

Blinkin' Annoying
G'day,
I've got this happening also. The cure is to plug the Axim into power - either cradle or bluetooth cable. The light function is then it seems reset to charge indication mode.
What ROM version are you using and do you get audible alarm notifications? Have you played with the notification queue?
FWIW I suspect * this happened to me after using SKTools to clean up a couple of dodgy entries in the notification queue. I'd done that as I was not getting alarm function when a calendar entry was due. This could go back right to when I got the device. I tried for the lack of alarms a fix that had been mentioned on this board (chopping and changing alarm settings). That didn't fix it so I tried to clean up notification queue.
*As I recall timing fits but I cant be 100% certain.
Axim still has A01 rom. I'd loaded up various programs including a database I needed to use soon after I purchased the toy and I'd only found out about A06 after I'd set it up. I've been waiting for A0x with bluetooth fixes before I bite the bullet and flash it. Fortunately I retired just before I got the machine so as long as the calendars keeps it's entries and it synchs with the PC I don't really need the alarms (but I would rather like them!).
Cheers

Actually, just pluging it in doesn't solve the problem for me - just synching or popping the battery cover off does.
I'm using ROM A01. Haven't felt the need yet to upgrade so I haven't. Maybe this is a sign that I should? I don't have any bluetooth items yet so that hasn't been an issue for me.
As far as alarms, I haven't yet used the alarms in the Clock & Alarms settings. As far as notifications begin audible, I'm not sure as I almost never have the sound on.
I have read posts where people used MemMaid to clean out their notification queue. Maybe I should try that. I'll check if there's a trial version when I get home.
Is there a way to "play" with the queue with the software that came with the Axim as opposed to a third party product?

The only time the green light on my Axim X51V blinks is while it is running SKTools free RAM function, when there is some kind of warning dialog and just before I put my Axim into complete power off. I don't know how to solve it but perhaps some program or function on your PocketPC is causing it.

This just recently happened to me, I did a soft reset and it started blinking the green power light. I pulled off the back cover and pulled out the bat, and for some reason it performed a soft reset, then the green blinking stopped, I'm still not sure as to what caused it, cause I don't have any of the programs mentioned previously in this thread.

I've never figured out exactly what was causing it but I did get it to stop.
I downloaded the trial version of MemMaid, looked through the Notification Queue and found there were three old appointments on my calendar sitting in there. I deleted them and now when I soft reset, I don't have the green blinking light anymore.
Anyway, this fixed the problem, but why I had the problem to start out with remains a mystery. I don't get why they remained in the queue in the first place or why they all of a sudden decided to blink the light.
At least now I know where to look first should this happen again.

Sounds good katwomen. I'm glad MemMaid did the trick. It is a great tool!
