Opera 8.5b2 Issues

I've been using the latest Opera beta on my Dell X51v and was wondering if anyone knew of a solution to the only issues I am having with it.

First issue is that entering text does not work right in entry fields. Some characters don't print right, and when I tell it to type a space it types two spaces.

Second issue is that sometimes I have to tap once and then tap and hold again to get the context menu to appear. This happens nearly every time. I found this one because I often like to open a link in a new window.

Does anyone have any ideas on these? I ran a search but did not find much.

Don't seem to have this problem. What method are you using to enter the text? Transcriber? Keyboard?

I have the same issue. :s postings, such as this one, appear double-spaced but, once posted, seem normal.

It also feels unresponsive at times - hopefully, the final release will be better, 'cos I really like most of it :)

Yeah, I too have the double-space thing. All things considered though, even in beta, Opera vastly surpasses IE.
