I've got a TX, and just basically replaced it with my Axim X51 (just got it in the mail the day before yesterday). The way a friend of mine put it is that the Palm is a Mac in a PC world, and I find this to be true in just about every respect. There's a lot of things that I like about the Palm, you just can't do anything with it. Conversely I was up until 4am last night loading the Axim up with all the software I wish I could get on the Palm - almost all of it freeware.
Palm ALP (Access Linux Palm, the next version of Palm OS) is due out soon, and maybe that will change things, but I am very glad I got the Axim. It's not quite as easy to use, but there's so much more you can do with it. The ability to get and use spare batteries is also a huge plus in my book.
Go for the Axim, you'll be a lot happier in the long run.
