most likely i wont be trading, if i do a trade it will only be for an x50v. please contact me through PM. ofcourse, a trade of x50v -> x30 is not very fair on my end.
But the X30 is faster.... :D
w00t!

EngrPaul, how are you liking the X51v compared to your X50V ?
Overall, I like it better. Everything is equal to or better than the X50v, with the exception less RAM, and not being able to swap batteries without a relatively long soft reset afterwards. I really wish they put a battery or capacitor in the thing so you can change batteries out on the road when you don't have a charger to plug in.

I would think you could get a trade here, there are always posts from people asking if it smart to go from X50v to X51, and some X50 owners wanting WM5. I would just watch the posts and make a trade offer.
I have an x30h and an x51v, and the x30h is slower than the X51V. The BIS in the x30h is unbearably slow, whereas the ROM in my x51v is much better (And larger!). I'm perfectly happy with my x51v, but I occasionally think about the x50v for its WM2003SE RAM settings, for Quake IiI Arena (Which I was able to play on my x30, slowly)...They both have their selling points. :D

I've been wondering whether or not I'd regret buying my X51v, and it seems not. Have I understood correctly that the only real problem with WM5 is it uses ROM for storage instead of RAM? This makes sense to me, I mean come on, [average users] don't use RAM to store their programs in on their computers. And anyway, I'll have 3GB of memory cards in it, which are faster and more versatile than the ROM. But seriously, I want to know what other issues WM5 has before I get it in a couple days. (I'm no noob to WM2003 - have used it on my X5 for a good 2.5 years).

I can't say I'd use some review benchmark as a valid reason for getting rid of a perfectly good functional device. In terms of real world usage you really aren't going to notice the performance decrease due to the filesystem being on flash memory, sure a couple of programs may take a few seconds longer to start up but surely it's worth it for security of data.
I'm sure I've seen a ramdrive type program for pocket PCs, surely you can use that instead of selling a perfectly good X51...
I have a X50v in greate shape and is still under warranty. I can put 2003SE on it, if you want...
