Disable autodial for a specific connection?
I use my X51v mainly at home and at the office, where I connect to the outside world using WiFi. However, I'd love the possibility of using my Bluetooth cell phone as an extra means of reaching the internet *when I want to* (the cost per kilobyte is somewhat prohibitive).
I created a "My ISP" dial-up connection that makes use of GPRS to hook up to the internet. It works fine, but as soon as WM5 "needs" internet access and does not have a working WiFi link, it dials out through my phone. I want to prevent that, but haven't found a way to actually tell WM5 *not* to dial this specific connection unless I do it manually.
Right now, I use the following connections:
- at home, USB or Bluetooth for ActiveSync and internet
- at home, WiFi to access the internet
- at home, VPN over WiFi to access the office and sync with Exchange Server
- at the office, WiFi to access the internet and sync with Exchange Server
They all work fine, the VPN is dialed as needed and my office access point is recognized as granting internet access.
In summary, my question is:
"How do I tell WM5 that a specific connection should NOT be dialed automatically?"
There must be a registry tweak that would do this.
