ARRRGGG Pocket MSN !
All has been going mostly well with me and my Ax until the same thing below started with me at about the same time.
Anyone want to toss this about. I played with my "ISP/ WorK" settings a bit had it running then el crappo same error... ================================================== ======== Hi, I'm hoping someone may be able to help: I'm running Windows Mobile 5 on an O2 XDA Exec I connect my device to the internet using 802.11b connecting to a wireless access point I configured email for two email accounts, One is a POP3 account and the other is a hotmail account I've been able to send/receive emails from my mobile device as expected...up until today that is... Just today I'm now no longer able to send/receive emails I now get the following message on my device on attempting to send/receive emails Cannot Connect Cannot connect with current connection settings. To change your connection settings, tap Settings <Settings> This message repeats itself. It appears the device is polling for a connection Having done some reading on the topic (here http://www.pocketpcmag.com/_archive...Connection.aspx ) it appears that somehow my connection settings are messed up. Has anyone come across this problem and come up with a fix I've always had the "My ISP" option set on both "network management" settings (i.e. connections>advanced>select networks) and this has been working fine up until today. So for both the options in "network management", i.e. "Programs that automatically connect to the internet should connect using" and "Programs that automatically connect to a private network should connect using" I have "My ISP" as the connection setting For reference, I'm able to establish a wireless connection to the internet using the device and browse as expected (I'm using the Opera browser). I've read the guide here (http://www.pocketpcmag.com/_archive...Connection.aspx ) so understand why I might want to use the "My Work Network" connection option. I have no requirement for this so have set both connection options to "My ISP" and this has been working as expected up until now... By the way, on top of this MSN Messenger refuses to sign in (Pocket MSN sign-in failed) and since this is linked to my hotmail email settings, I'm not able to send/receive any hotmail Many thanks ================================================== =======

Okay, here's something is it essential to have Pocket MSN running in order to run the sub features ie. Messenger, compact hotmail etc?
Looks like things might verk with it running. ********Never mind******** Still acting like Windows 98... at least I haven't seen a BSOD !! yet..... Okay another update. looks like this could be a pathing or shortcut issue. (Feel like I'm talking to myself here) If I load the progs directly with their *.exe's in the /windows folder they seem to work (so far...). So for now I've just made some direct file shortcuts on the today screen. Anyone know how to see/check the path of shortcuts/icons in the start and or program pages?
