Opera Beta 2 Types Double Spaces

For whatever reason, everytime I type a space in opera (whether in a google search box or in the address box, using the onscreen keyboard or an external one) it inserts two spaces into whatever I am typing, which is extremely annoying. Google doesn't seem to notice, but it makes it really hard to respond to threads on aximsite. It doesn't happen with any other program, just Opera.

I think it happened when I started editing the ini files with custom key assignments. But for the life of me, I cannot find where in those files I change what the spacebar does. I don't want to put in a fresh install with fresh ini's cause I made a lot of changes, some of which I can't even remember, and it would be a pain to put them all back again. If anyone happens to know the particular key assignment I need to change to fix this, it would be very helpful.
I just love chatting with Dell:

01/27/2006 05:40:21PM Agent (Anuja_0194561): "That is correct."
01/27/2006 05:41:20PM Thunderstreich: "Just to be absolutely sure, this includes A2DP and AVRCP?"
01/27/2006 05:41:55PM Agent (Anuja_0194561): "Yes, it will include that."
