New service from Motorola Share

I just got the following from Motorola Share.

"With My Media Play, you can access your entire music collection of MP3 and WMA music files stored on your computer — and play those tunes on any other computer or Windows Mobile 5 device. Finally, you're freed from limited play lists and synchronizing your mobile device — just access and enjoy!"

Motorola Share is a service from Avvenu that allows any device (phone, PDA, PC) access to files on a remote PC. Like getting access to your home MP3s at work or on the road. Or your photos, etc.

Is this service specific to Motorola phones? I've been using Avvenu (free) from my X50v (WM2003SE not WM5) and other PCs for awhile now.

From reading the faqs at your link this only works with Motorola handsets. I saw no mention of WM5 devices in there???

I don't think it is specific to Mot phones. But I am not sure since I have a Mot phone and haven't tried another.

The "New" part is that "My Media Play". It sounds like it allows streaming from your PC to WM5.

But streaming to WM5 has worked for awhile now since Avvenu works using a browser and an Internet connection...
