I wanted to make one of my butttons a shortcut to changing the orientation of my axim 51v. I know it can be done, but when i go to the menu for the buttons, under applications rotate screen is not there! But i can rotate the screen manually by going into the settings. WHy isnt it showing up? Could it be because i have wisbar installed?
It can be done quite easily (have done it myself, so it has to be easy!)
Go to "settings" then to "personal" and the click on "buttons".
As I donīt use the dictaphone function, I reprogrammed that button with "[rotate screen right]" from the drop down menu. Et voila, it works! I amaze myself some times :rolling:

That's exactly what I did on my X51 and it works like a charm :approve:

Well I only get <Rotate Screen> on my X51V, not <Rotate Screen Right> or <Rotate Screen Left>. Thus mine only rotates to the left (so that to view it in landscape the front button are all on the left side when I'd prefer them on the right hand side. I wish mine had a choice of which way it woudl rotate when switching to landscape mode.
Take a look at Inclose Mobile. It has loads of other things such as Intelliclose, Close all but active etc. To change orientation, you can just drag your pen from the right most side of the top bar a little bit towards the left. (Hard to describe, but really useful!)

Well, it does, kind of. If you go into Settings | System | Screen and select Landscape (Right Handed), the button you've assigned to <Rotate Screen> will toggle between the right-handed landscape orientation and portrait. If you choose Landscape (Left Handed), it will toggle between that and portrait.
I normally only use one landscape orientation, so this gives me what I need.
