Axim Troubles..

I just got a brand new axim 51v.. Im having some troubles with it.. when i put it in the dock.. and then i take it out of the dock.. the screen is just white and i cant get it to the normal screen unless i do a soft reset. Addittionally, when i turn it off, and leave it for a while, i cant turn it back on, but the led is blinking on the top.. So doesnt this mean its on? I turn it off by clicking the top botton once.. this is the right way to do it when i want to turn it off right?
And the other night, when i didnt put it in the dock, and i wanted to use it the next morning, the batttery was completely dead. So whatsup?

It doesn't matter. The ActiveSync fake server trick is done on the device itself:

If you're useing an aftermarket extended battery make sure the battery cover is on properly.
there's an annoing switch that prevents it from turning on if the cover dont fit.
i jammed a small peice of paper up in that mother.... and it works fine.

i 'con-quer' with the fake server trick. try that if it doesnt take then come back for more advice

Did you do the Fake Server Trick as suggested above? That seems to resolve a lot of issues. Also, do you have the adapter so you can charge your Axim directly from an AC outlet instead of thru the craddle? If so, go Start - Home - Memory - Running Programs tab - Close All Programs and then charge thru AC adapter.

As stated above the fake server trick usually takes care of this issue. But that would only be if ActiveSync is causing the problem. The symptoms you state indicate that some program you have running is crashing and taking the axim with it. Check your running programs and try stopping them before shutting down to see which one is the problem.

I had the driving game that came on the cd loaded and when I got really pissed at it I would just shut the axim off. When I turned it back on I would get the white screen of death. Some programs just don't like to be shut off.
