Problem uninstalling program

Just thought would drop a note if anyone has had same problem. Installed a program, didn't like it so went to remove it. Received message to the effect of 'not all elements could be removed'. I left it alone till just now I remember I had the same problem with a Smartphone not removing programs. Turns out the problem with the smartphone and apparently with my Axim x51v Windows Mobile 5 might be related.

Basically in both cases the program I was trying to remove was still listed in recent programs section of start menu. So to get rid of all elements of the program that only partially removed I did the following:

1-Fully reinstall program (since it paritially removed it and did remove it from 'remove programs' list
2-If it is is recent used programs, simply open up 5 other programs or as many as it takes to remove it from Start Menu.
3-Go back to 'remove programs' and simply remove it

In both cases of the smart phone and WM5, I was only able to remove certain programs by removing them from recent used list before trying to remove. Other programs doesn't matter, but if you come across one that you have a problem removing see if it helps to clear it off the start menu first.

Just adding my two cents..

Dave

Don't forget to remove it from Active Sync.
