Is there a soft reset application that can be used with WM 5? When I has my X50V with WM2003SE I used SoftReset and I really like it. Also, how would I get the reset to appear along the bottom task bar like the screen shot below?

I use Shutdown (http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=6666) and it seems to work fine with WM5. There's an option to have the icon displayed on the Today screen, just like in the screen shot you attached.

I just try the apps and it works fine on my WM5 too. It may conflict with another program installed previously
I just tried to application again and same results. I guess as Frenchy pointed out it might conflict with another application. Any other programs that you know of that I can add to the bottom task bar to perform a soft reset. Thanks.

Well I found PsShutXP but when I restart with the icon in the task bar I get an error message saying that it is unsigned by microsoft, or something like that. Anyone know of a what that I can keep this icon the the task bar? Thanks.

I tried the program you suggested but every time I tried to run it my device froze up. Any other suggestions?
I too had a problem with my X51 freezing or the icon "disappearing" when I had it displayed on my Today screen. But it only would happen when I did a Soft Reset. I ended up removing it from Today and have it displayed as an icon thru cLaunch and it has worked fine ever since.

I use MagicButton. It puts an icon on the top near the clock. If you press and hold the House icon, you get a dropdown menu. Go to the More submenu and there are options to Turn off or Reset.
Free, and MagicButton's a great task switcher too.
