I tried to install the rom update from Dell but everytime I tried to install it is gave me an error saying that it cannot find the file...

What am I doing wrong?

Which browser did u use? Internet Explorer or others? You can only use IE to install for now.

Well that did it.... I was using firefox. It installed with IE...

Well actually, I used Firefox, and it worked. I had to do something first, I think, I navigated to the file directly, on the CD. Or maybe I copied the CD onto the hard drive first. Whatever.

New rom is available?

Is it not possible to download from your ppc? I went to the dell site on my ax and signed into my account and went to my systs and peripherals and when I tried to get it to show the downloads for my x51v it came up with the screen, but wouldn't do anything when I tried to click on the "show all" or just one of the topics, or on the + sign next to the word that expands the list. Has anyone else tried this?

the latest rom update from dell is A06, if you buy a new axim A06 is already install, hopefully A08 is coming out soon

actually A08 is out but only on new units and is not available for downloads. And so far it hasn't shown any new fixes as far as I can tell reading here. So I expect that if Dell does ever put out a new update it will be 09 for the x51 and 10 for the x51v. of course just my guess.....
