Welcome to Aximsite,
Depends what you want to achieve. The PocketBreeze family is pretty good. and I also like Resco suite product. Please do not crossthread (post same thread to other forums)

If you get dead silence after breaking the speed of sound, would you be in the darkness after passing the speed of light? .Frenchy

I would highly recommend the following:
SPB Pocket Plus Pocket Informant Pocket Breeze Pocket Weather Just to name a few. Those I would say are must haves.

Instead of spb pocket plus, try iLaunch and Wisbar Advance 2 http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=56984&highlight=today+screen

I tried almost every today screen plug in that I could get my hands on when I got my Axim. I have to say that I like Wisbar and WS Desktop the best. While Pocket Plus had a few extras that I had to look at other programs for, the screen always felt cluttered to me. WS Desktop is nice because everything is very accessible, but since you can put it on different "pages" it doesn't have to be right on top if you are not using it.
All of that being said, I have to agree with the other folks who recommend using the trial versions. They all have advantages and siadvantages and the only way to find out what you like is by testing it before you spend the money. Doug

Try Sprite Backup too. I usually backup my pda every other day.
Also if there is a problem, you can use the windows companion of sprite to restore your pda after a hard reset without having to reinstall sprite into your ppc first.

OzVGA or SEVGA, depending on which axim you get, because they greatly enhance your screen, giving you true VGA resolution (Of course I now prefer force hires, which doesn't interfere with anything that doesn't like to run in trueVGA).

There are a lot of people that like WB2 and iLaunch. There are others that prefer SPB P+.
I have both. Although I switch back and forth, my system runs the smoother when using WA2 and iLaunch. This is based on my own personal observations. Try all Three! The trial version is free. Besides, trying out new programs is fun!
