X51V users attention! We have another rom upgrade!(A12)

About A12:
Fixes and Enhancements

1. Windows Mobile V5.0 Adaptation Kit Update 2.3.1 enhancement.
2. Audio driver change (headset output gain adjustment) due to French audio regulation
3. Fix system can't wake up with CF card installed.
4. Enhance CF I/O card performance.
5. Fix CF serial modem port Open/Close issue.
6. Support Activesync serial connection switcher

Bluetooth still sucks, but overall the few who have tried the update (myself included) think it seems somehow "snappier."

There are a few differences, minor updates to built-in software and the like. I don't have any CF cards to see any differences there though.

Definately an update to annoy those who want their bluetooth headsets to be supported by Dell. ;)

mmmhhmmm take a look at issue 3. if the system cant wake up when cf is inserted, then i wount wake up when the power button is pressed... maybe the no-power-up issue is fixed now..

I recently hard reset my X51v and reinstalled all the software so I am reluctant to go through this again unless there is a real benefit. My X51v seems to be working fine so maybe I will leave well alone!

make a FULL backup of it. upgrade the os. if it doesnt work downgrade and restore from the backup.
