er... ok... if you think Win2003 is better then we just have a difference of opinion... for everything I do with my Ax... which is pretty much everything... its better and not a Novelty in anyway...

I am just playing devil's advocate. If I had an X51V I would certainly use WM5, but having an X50V, I simply do not see enough compelling reasons to install WM5 over WM2K3.2. Likewise, there are not enough reasons to switch to an X51V from an X50V, in fact, for me, there are more reasons to stay on the X50V at this time.

well I did have a few issues with word and excel which are now sorted in WM5 and things run more smoothly... I hated the annoying sounds on Win2K3... thats a little cosmetic I know but *shrug*. My system is overall more stable with all those tweaks and hacks than win2k3.2 I have had it up and running with no soft resets or hard resets for a good 3 months... whereas under Win2k3 I might have to soft reset once a month at best.

My x50v is running perfect with wm5. Yes i had to do all the hacks and tricks but everything is 100% perfect. No problems here!

That's assuming you have time to lookup and implement all of the "hacks". I thought when I purchased the WM5 upgrade to my x50v, it working was part of the package. I guess Dell fooled many of us.
