Aximsitemobileicon Cascading Start Menu?

I like WM5, but the only thing I have missed in all Windows CE versions since 2.1 is the cascading start menu (Windows 9x/NT) style...

Is there an app out there that would give me the cascading menus?

where ???

WM5 by default does NOT cascade !! :rolling:

all you have is 2 menus ( programs & settings) ... and when select ... it open up a new window contents ... that is not what cascading meant !! :p

... I think by cascading ... it is something like this is what the original poster meant !!

Well what I mean is when I click programs, I want to see a list, such as in Windows XP. I don't want that damn huge window opening with giant icons. See the attachment...just like a regular start menu.

Have you tried to softreset. If not then have you backed up recently. You may need to do a restore, or if worst comes to worst then you will have to start all over. Starting over isn't all bad though, it clears up your system and you can decide what you really wanted, and what you didn't really want.

Basically, there aren't many choices for Cascading Start Menus which work with WM5 - if you had WM2003SE, you could use Wisbar Advance 1.x, which is freeware. Otherwise, you'll need Wisbar Advance 2, or Wisbar Lite, both of which have the Cascading Start Menu feature.

If you want cheap and don't care about skinning, Wisbar Lite is $4.95 - AND it has a simple task manager. For another $5, you can get Wisbar Advance 2, which has skinning and a few other advanced features. Heck, if you buy Wisbar Advance 2, you can get Wisbar Lite registered with the same registration code... so you can have two programs for the price of one, and can keep your memory usage low OR get the full skinning options.
