Worried microsoft works and wifi

Hello. I am very new here. I was wondering if anyone new of a way to use microsoft works instead of word with this axim. I only use works on my computer. My works program says that it can be applied to the device, but after syncing the device it is no where to be found. Also, could someone please explain how to use wifi. I have no clue. ::

Thanks.

I don't know about your works problem, but with wifi, you need to be a bit more specific. what is it about using wifi that you don't understand?

No, you can't install MS Works on your PDA - it wasn't designed or compiled for Windows Mobile, and your PDA only comes with MS Word. You can get other word editors, like TextMaker, but you can't get Works on there. You CAN download the calendar on there, if you've got ActiveSync installed, IIRC, but that's it.

As far as WiFi goes, I'd suggest checking the manual which SHOULD have come with your device. You should be able to hit the 'flight mode' icon at the top to turn the WiFi functionality on, but as far as configuration goes... check the manual for your router.

It's been a while since I've used it but I'm sure that you can open M$ Word documents in Works, in which case you should be able to use any files created on the Axim (after all, the Mobile Word version probably doesn't have as many features as Works does on the PC). If you cannot do it with the default setup, check the installation disk for conversion 'add ons.'

For WiFi, check the WiFi Guide linked from my signature.
