Should install Applications in ROM or CF/SD

I'll get my x51v soon. As x51v has 256mb rom, big enought for most application.

Should I install applications in ROM or CF/SD if system performance/response is prime consideration?

Honestly, I'vd tried both and notice little difference, if any. I have a 4 gig CF card, and 1 gig SD card, so I'm storing most stuff on my SD card.

People have their preferences, but that's mostly what they are, preferences.

I use two criteria. first there are some programs that only work when installed on in ROM. so watch out for those. Then which applications do I want to work even when my SD/CF card is out.

Other than that, most of my biggest applications such as tom tom or others that require a lot of data go in my CF card (4GB).

Enjoy your axim!!

As stated above, most, if not all, Today screen plug ins need to be installed in Main Memory. I install everything else on my SD card. Enjoy your Axim!
