VGA Problems on a x51v

I have a AXIM x51v 624Mhz running WM5.0 with A12. the problem is my AXIM cannot display VGA themes, the wallpaper is cut and only a portion is visible.
I thought the x51v had a VGA screen resolution(640x480).

Also a lot of people have cascading menus here with the vista theme. How do i acheive that? i downloaded the theme and put it as my today skin but no go

If i was to use a picture(.jpeg) as the background of a today screen why is the picture completely washed/faded?

The cascading menu effect is due to wisbar advanced installed on the axim.

There are several issues here. The washed out nature of your jpegs can be fixed by using the Pictures and Videos program. Find the image that you want to use and tap and hold. You will then be able to choose set this as today theme. When you do, you will then be able to choose the transparency. Chooose 0 and you will have the original, dark image.

As for the only getting a quarter of the image. It has to do with the dpi that the ax is reading in a registry entry. I do not know the registry key that needs to be changed, but there is a program - a little buggy and with an interesting translation from the French - ThemegenCE, that allows you to make a wm5 theme, and make sure that the dpi is set to 192.

I'm still playing with ThemeGenCe, but it looks promising. Good Luck with your wm5 themes.

It will be interesting for improvement of ThemeGenCE to tell me where you have found 'bugs'. So, I will be able to correct them !

Thanks for your help, Friendly,

Benoît

Thank you for all your work. Sizing the picture and retrieving the colors from an existing wm5 theme doesn't always work on a win2000 machine. I'm travelling and don't have access to those files, but I will confirm.
