Even though it's on the compatibility list for WM5 having trouble installing version

v1.0, never mind the v1.5 upgrade. The message I get on screen is that the recommends me

to install it to the main memory not the "" path. what the hell is the "" path ?

As I use my PDA as a smart phone with the Audiovox RTM 8000 cf Data / voice modem this

kind is obviously in situ as well as a SD memory card. after the above message appears

and and it appears to install to the end of the progress bar I get an error message "The

previous version of Voice command has been detected , please delete its previous version"

As I have never installed a previous version I went on to the Microsoft website and

discovered that if you in fact do upgrade from version one version 1.5 you will indeed

get this error message. What followed its instructions on the Microsoft website to

enter the tools, add and remove programs, on the active sync 4.2 desktop screen and

followed as directed. But in no avail even the trial version from handygo.com but I had

a previous version on my PDA .

So finally I went to SPB registry editor to search for Voice command in the registry via

the find, edit option but no entries were found.right even removed a trial version of the

speak text pro thinking that could be upsetting the install. My last thought was to

remove the SD memory card and the Audiovox RTM 8000 cf Data / voice modem to stop the

first message about installation location but I've not seen that message since by I

removed said cards.

so I'm in a pickle , do I switch to an alternative voice commands software book and you

guys and girls help me ?

It doesn't compatible with the ppc windows2005

You need to get to install the fresh 1.5, not upgrade from 1.0.

ms voice command works great on my x51v wm5 a12. And it is really smart to recognize any word, i mean reasonable word, without any teaching necessary.

Wait...did you say you used your PDA as a smart phone? What PDA do you have?

I'm using a Audio RTM-8000 audio/data cf card modem on my x51v with Pocket Presence Runing Voice software and after A12 Rom upgrade it works a treat

How come some can upgrade & others need a freash 1.5 install . Could it be other speech-to-text s/w intalled on the PDA interfearing?

I'll try to reinsall ms voice command again but even the trial version didn't work for me. dose any have the definative step, different than microsofts upgrade steps I described earlier , that worked for them.

fresh instal doesnt work for me and i have an x50 mid with wm5

 

Upgrade from 1.0 works fine for me!

The only bug that I see is that, when you say "Show <Person's name>" It shows the person's contact info, with the note there, but the Name, Phonenumber and address page is completely blank.

hi, i upgraded to 1.5 from 1.0 and it installed ok, but when i go to settings, it says 5-day trial, the boxes for enable and password protected are checked. does this mean it did not detect the 1.0 version?
