sharing pda gprs internet connection via wifi

hi

iŽd need to share my gprs internet connection from my qtek9100 wm5 to my laptop. iŽve managed to establish a working wifi connection already but i have no idea what to do next..

do i need some 3rd party progs to manage this, or is there a ŽeasyŽ way to workaround this problem..

any help and/or ideas appreciated!

The settings will depend on what your carrier is. Check out the GPRS Settings thread here for details:

Oops, in my early morning daze, I misread your post. Anyway, you should be able to configure your laptop to dialup using similar settings. Have you tried that?

You can't configure a new dialup connection? Here are some instructions that might be helpful (just substitute your own settings intead of T-mobile's if they're not appropriate):

http://www.filesaveas.com/gprsconnect.html#laptop

BTW, GPRS has nothing to do with wifi. You needn't have it enabled to do this.

i do not have the possibility to use bluetooth nor any cables since i do not have them with me. my gprs connection works fine, wlan works fine, only thing that does not work is sharing this internet connection in wlan between these two devices.

so, now i can access internet with my pda, but not with my laptop allthough this network between these devices is working properly, ping is okay etc..

If I understand what you are trying to do:

Axim connected to ISP via Cell Phone;
Laptop connected to Axim to share this connection.

=Won't work.

There is no server software for the PPC that will allow it to share a web connection with another device.
