Will dell ever release a fix for us x50v users who are suffering on WM5?

I'm not sure i can bear any more resets just to be able to surf the net or to just turn the darn thing on! please help us dell !!!!!

Hmm, Today I just received another email notification about Dell updating another language for the X51v. There seems to be another update about every two weeks or so. Perhaps once they are done with the x51vs they may possibly update the x50?

I´d advice you to get used to the idea of using 2003SE because it just aint gonna happen!

just try to get ur x50v replaced with an x51v if u want wm5 that bad,that's what I did

 

Yeah, we're all still waiting on that update for the X50v. Still waiting... In short, I'd stick with 2003 personally.

I've been playing with one of my colleague's Acer N300 and I was amazed of how fast it runs despite the 400MHz processor. The applications he has installed are about the same (at least the most ram consuming ones) as the ones I have on my X50v, just because I have advised him on which software to get…

This has taken me to think that the greatest problem with WM5 on the X50v is the slow speed of its ROM memory (apart from many other bugs!).

I don’t know, but it looks that WM5 works A LOT better on devices that were specifically designed for it.

Anyway, I do not think I’ll roll back to WM2003SE in the near future.

well from day 1 i never thought of switching back to wm2k3se. the new word mobile and excel mobile is just too tempting
though i must say...wm5 on x50v really sux. MEGA sux
