WM5/power drain fix?

Back in November, when I first installed WM5 on my X50, I had the common problem of the power draining even while it was off. I used a fix I found on this site and it worked like a champ. Now I have to do a hard reset and I imagine I will lose whatever I did to fix it. I also can no longer find the posts that described the fix. If anyone remembers what that was, could you repost it?

Also, can I expect to lose WM5 and have to reinstall it when I do the hard reset?

Thx.

I'm no expert but I think you are looking for the "fake server trick". Search that.
Hard reboot => Axim restored to factory original, with all that wonderful Microsoft software.
One suggestion is to download and install the latest ROM upgrade, for you I think it is A12. This installation requires a hard reboot anyhow. Be sure to save your data! I use Sunnysoft because it's cheap and it works. Naturally you wouldn't try to restore your whole system, just the PIM data.
Good luck.

Firstly, you will still have WM5 if you hard reset. Secondly, A12 is only for the x51v (at least according to Dell's website). And yes, the fake server trick is the thing you're looking for.
