Go into your unit in explore and see if you find the folder it creates called softkeyapplet. Then open that and if you see an empty folder presss stylus on screen and hold till the window opens and click show all folders. then you should see it. drag that into the main folder that windows and start up ect reside in then you should see it. hopefully.
I downloaded it, extracted it and then I put it in the window that opened once I double clicked on the My Windows Mobile-Based Device icon. I still don't see it even after a couple soft resets. I am I not putting it in the right folder to sync up?
You put it in the Windows folder. After you open My Windows Mobile-Based Device, you should see a list of folders - near the end is the Windows folder.
The two soft keys are on the bottom of the WM5 screen and usually say Calendar and Contacts. This program allows you to specify different applications for the soft keys, such as Calculator or Mobile Word or a game.
Thanks! I was trying to drag what was in the folder instead of the folder itself. Plus I didn't know where to look for it on the axim once I synced it. And if I did find it I would not have known to hold down the stylus. All the pieces finally clicked in my head and I got it to work. Thanks again to everyone for spelling this out step by step for me.
