[APP] Change your Soft Keys
I stumbled across a thread a while back ( HERE), and almost didn't notice the post by vsunlimited. The app he attached is actually pretty handy. It is easier than some solutions I have seen on Aximsite, and it is free. Just drop the file in your /windows directory, and go into your settings, and there it is. I have attached the file and a screenshot.

This can also be done with Tweaks2k2. But great find for those without T2k2!

FAB-BU-LOUS!
I have Tweak2k2 and the only reason why I use this is to change the soft key. Nothing else. Now I can get rid of it and just use the free one. I'm sure it's less demanding on the system and smaller...saving me precious memory.

Try a soft reset.

I forgot to post that I got it to work. I had done a soft reset before and it still wasn't working, but after a few more it started working. I dunno...something is weird. My activesync suddenly stopped working and in the process of fixing that, the soft key applet just worked. ??? whatever...both are fine now so i can't complain :-/. just wish i knew what was going on.

This is sweet. I hate memory hogging apps for a simple task. I like to run lean and fast. This control panel applet is just up my alley. Thanks.

Sorry for the stupid question but before I start throwing stuff around I want to make sure I am putting stuff in the right place. I want to add this program but I don't know where to put it. In an above post the windows directory was mentioned but when I explored my axim through activesync I couldn't find it. I was appretiate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

Finding Windows Directory
Nate,
When you open the folder from ActiveSync the very top item should be My Windows Mobile-Based Device. You should double click on that and then you will be in the root directory of your Ax. MS decided that we all wanted to start in the My Documents directory.

Once I double click, is that where I should drag and drop the program once I download it?

Extract it first then put it in there. Or if you put the zip file in there first , unzip it there drag to windows and delete the soft keys folder. Then it will show up in settings / system

This is so confusing to me. I downloaded it, extracted it and then I put it in the window that opened once I double clicked on the My Windows Mobile-Based Device icon. I still don't see it even after a couple soft resets. I am I not putting it in the right folder to sync up?
