Does anyone know of any way I can write Visual Basic apps for WM5 without having to purchase Visual Studio 2005? Is there any free VB software out there? If you don't know of any, what is the easiest to learn language besides VB that would be free to use on WM5? Thanks!

You can get visual studio express, free from MS, I am not sure if it'll do PDA Devices or not though..

Or you could get Embedded Visual Tools 3.0 which includes Ebmedded visual C++ and Embedded Visual basic 3.0 .. how ever you need a runtime thats sometimes hard to track downw to run the visual basic 3.0 programs on the pda.. some people will tell you they wont run on Wm2003se + .. but they've worked fine for me.

Unfortunately, the WM development kit will not install with the VS express edition :(

Have a look at NS Basic, it's very much like VB but at a lower price.
