I have been wanting to use the new wifi icon and have tried every method posted on the forum. The only one that has been confirmed by wm5 user is the one that use setsecurity.exe to set prompt off and drop the WirelessIcon.exe.0409.mui file into Windows directory using active sync explorer then soft reset. I've tried that and everything else in the forum and stillcannot get the new icon. I am using rom A12. Any help is appreciated. It really starts to get on my nerve after staring at that ugly thing for almost a year.
